Question 1

Am I buying the diffuser or renting it?

Accepted Answer

You buy it. The price is one-off and includes 100 ml of a fragrance of your choice from the list, free, with no subscription and no tie-in.

Question 2

What does the price include?

Accepted Answer

The system, 100 ml of the fragrance you choose and free delivery. Payment is one-off and prices include VAT.

Question 3

Can I change the scent?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If the fragrance is not for you, we swap it for another within 14 days of delivery. Call us and we will arrange it. The first fragrance is included in the price of the unit. Every further one is 100 ml and costs 24,90 €. Write to us with the fragrance you want and we will send it.

Question 4

How often do I need to refill the diffuser?

Accepted Answer

A bottle of fragrance usually lasts between 4 and 8 weeks in normal use. The exact figure depends on several things: the intensity set on the diffuser, how many hours a day it runs, the model of the unit, and the floor area and volume of the room. A large living room or open-plan space gets through it faster, while in a bedroom or bathroom the same bottle can last more than two months. The good news is that consumption is entirely predictable: after the first month you will know exactly how often to plan a refill.

Question 5

Are the fragrance oils safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. KAYA LUX fragrance oils are made in reputable European factories and meet the standards of IFRA, the international body that sets the safety rules for the fragrance industry. The formulas are a blend of natural and synthetic ingredients; they contain no parabens, phthalates or GMOs, and they are vegan. The oils are intended solely for scenting the air through a diffuser and, used as intended, are completely safe for rooms where people are present: offices, hotels, shops and homes.

Question 6

Is the scent safe for children and pets?

Accepted Answer

KAYA LUX diffusers work on cold nano-diffusion: compressed air breaks the fragrance oil into microscopic particles, with no heating and no added water. While the nozzle is running you can see a light mist, which clears within seconds and leaves no moisture or oily film on furniture or floors. The concentration in the room is very low: you notice the scent, not the product itself. That is why the technology is suitable for spaces where there are children and pets. For complete peace of mind, we recommend placing the diffuser somewhere children and animals cannot reach, keeping the bottles closed and out of their way, and airing the room from time to time. If there is a cat, a bird or another small pet in the room, or someone with asthma or allergies, get in touch and we will recommend the most suitable fragrance and the right intensity. Where specific allergies exist, we select a composition around the relevant notes.

Question 7

What happens if a system fails?

Accepted Answer

Write to us and we send a replacement system by courier, collecting the faulty one with the same shipment. You pay nothing for the hardware.

Question 8

Why do I stop noticing the scent after a while?

Accepted Answer

This is perfectly normal and is called olfactory adaptation. Our sense of smell reacts strongly to anything new, but once the brain judges a scent to be familiar and safe, it stops registering it consciously. The scent is still there; you simply no longer pay attention to it. What matters is that your guests or customers notice it at full strength. They come in from outside and have not been around it for hours, so their first impression stays exactly as it was. If you would still like to keep noticing it yourself, there are two solutions: change the scent every few months, or set the diffuser to run in intervals rather than continuously, since the breaks let your nose pick it up afresh. Both are easy to set up, and we are happy to help.

Question 9

Is the diffuser noisy, and what does it cost to run?

Accepted Answer

It runs quietly on two-fluid nebulisation and is quieter than a fridge. It draws between 5 and 12 watts depending on the model, which is three to eight euros of electricity a year at 12 hours a day.

Question 10

How is the order delivered and how do I pay?

Accepted Answer

By courier to your address or to an Econt or Speedy office, free on orders of 60 euros and above. The payment methods are set out under “Ways to pay” and appear at step 3 of the order.

Question 11

Can I return it if the scent is not for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The device goes back within 14 days of receipt, no reason needed, and we refund what you paid. The fragrance arrives sealed; unopened it returns with the device, opened it is excluded on hygiene grounds. Separately from the right of withdrawal, our own fragrance swap applies: it is voluntary, given on top of the law, runs for 14 days from delivery and covers exactly the opened bottle. Call us and we will arrange it.
